After going nuts over the summer, I’m hitting the diet and exercise hardcore. I’m three weeks in and this is update #3.
You know when you’re progressing really good towards a goal and then BOOM!, you screw it up? Yeah…

So, that happened.
As a result, my weight is up .2 pounds this week:

Not good, but I’m not one to embrace absolutes either. Abstinence doesn’t work for me. So, every once in a while, I’ll have a donut. Or go to White Castle. Or eat something deep-fried. Then, I’ll return to salads and tofu. If I was stronger, it would be nothing but cottage cheese, broccoli, and water, but I’m not. So be it.

Nice job! Way to stay at it…And God, does that White Castle look good. We have Krystals here,,,,but I prefer the WK burgers and fries all day….
Where you see a 0.2 gain in one week I see a 7.8 loss in 3 weeks…give yourself some props already!!!

Scheduled cheat days are known to help keep people on track (assuming you don’t go too crazy for the entire day). My wife follows Shaun T (the insanity and hip hop abs guy) on Instagram and he does something called donut Fridays where he really enjoys eating donuts on Fridays.
But overall you are doing great. A healthy BMI and body fat %. You should be proud!
Ever since that movie, I’ve wanted to go to White Castle! Is it worth all the hype?
And most of us tend to think of 15% body fat as someone who is pretty darn fit! I know you’re trying to do this as a month-long challenge, but to make this sustainable occasional indulgences are a must! The 80/20 diet has gotten a lot of attention lately, and for good reason. The theory is that if you eat healthfully 80% of the time, and leave room for a 20% indulgence rate, your chances of maintaining your eating habits are significantly higher. My fiance and I loosely follow this, and I never feel deprived or have that “guilty” feeling that comes with eating some well-deserved burgers and fries!
