I haven’t written much lately because we’ve been on 2+ week adventure in Florida. The great thing about being severely underemployed (blogger!) is that you can take long, leisurely vacations. And that’s exactly what we did in Florida.

Our trip was broken down into 4 parts. First, we went to visit our friends the Penny Planters. Then, we went to visit old neighbors near Orlando. After that, it was off to Hutchinson Island to frolic on the beach for a while. Finally, we attended Camp FI near Gainesville. We just got back into Colorado yesterday.
I’ll return to my frenetic posting schedule next week. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of our adventures in Florida.

Near Orlando, we went to Amazing Animals, a non-profit dedicated to exotic animal rescue.

Our next stop was Orlando.

Our next stop was Hutchinson Island.

We finished the trip at Camp FI Southeast. Camp FIs are ridiculously fun events that are all about community. I always meet incredible people at these shindigs. There are still tickets available for some of them, so check one out near you.
At the camp, I gave a talk which gives me a great excuse to wear this ridiculous shirt:

One of my favorite traditions at Camp FI is to “borrow” unattended phones and take pictures of Frugalsaurus and Spendosaurus. However, at one point I left my phone and the dinosaurs unattended and someone turned the tables:

I’ll see you next week with updates on 2018 finances, 2019 goals and more titillating content. Stay warm.

Looks like you made some great memories. Thanks for sharing.
Quit faffing about and get back to work! What do you think you are, FI or something!?
Glad you all had a great time away – Happy New Year!
Wife and I love Sanibel island. Great place to visit, along with the Keys, but after staying one time in August, we confirmed we could never stay in FL year round. It is a developed swamp after all. Best time to visit is from Jan-Mar… don’t tell anybody š Rent a boat and anchor off Sanibel with a cooler prepared for lunch.
I couldn’t believe how warm Florida was at the end of December. I CANNOT imagine living there in July. I’m with you there!
Looks like you guys had fun! And more plan for international trips, say to Europe š
